The Member’s Mark Maximum Strength Mucus Relief DM tablets are a potent solution designed to provide up to 12-hour relief from cough and mucus. The tablets contain two active ingredients – Guaifenesin 1200 mg, which acts as an expectorant to thin and loosen mucus, and Dextromethorphan HBr 60mg, a cough suppressant that relieves coughing. This product is comparable to the active ingredients in Maximum Strength Mucinex® DM Extended-Release Tablets. However, this product is not manufactured or distributed by RB HEALTH US LLC, owner of the registered trademark Mucinex®DM.
Usage and Benefits
These tablets are designed to help loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus, making coughs more productive. They also temporarily relieve cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with the common cold or inhaled irritants. They can reduce the intensity of coughing and the impulse to cough, helping you get a good night’s sleep.
Directions for Use
For optimal results, do not crush, chew, or break the extended-release tablet. Instead, take it with a full glass of water. This product can be administered without regard for timing of meals. For adults and children aged 12 years and above, the recommended dosage is 1 extended-release tablet every 12 hours, not exceeding 2 extended-release tablets in 24 hours. This product is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Warnings and Precautions
Do not use this product if you are currently taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson’s disease, or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are unsure if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Stop usage and seek medical help if you experience an allergic reaction, have trouble urinating, or if your cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away (1-800-222-1222).
